Hope you had a pleasant Valentines day.\u00a0 It is a good thing to celebrate, validate and acknowledge Love.\u00a0 I do believe our world is suffering from the lack of understanding of what true love is.\u00a0 This morning I was thinking how glad I was I am connected to the true source of love so I can experience the depth of true love.\u00a0 Love is far more than a feeling and we all are made more alive by an encounter with it.\u00a0 Our definitions of love do not agree with God’s.\u00a0 I invite you to an encounter with\u00a0the only love worth finding.\u00a0 It is kind, patient, not proud, selfish,\u00a0or puffed up.\u00a0 Love\u00a0does not remember offense,\u00a0 it does not envy\u00a0 and it is not rude.\u00a0 Love is long suffering \u00a0it protects and preserves and\u00a0is the only guarantee to heaven.<\/p>\n
Many ask why do Christians insist there is only one way to God.\u00a0 The answer is simple that is what God said about it.\u00a0 God sent Jesus to give His life to\u00a0make the way for us to get\u00a0to Him.\u00a0 It was an act of love from\u00a0God who is love and knew the one thing that would get the job done. \u00a0That means the way\u00a0 He made\u00a0 is the only way He accepts because it was the only thing that works. \u00a0 No other deity, religious group or guru can say I laid down my life to give you access to eternal life with me.\u00a0 None of them can forgive and remove your sins and offenses and cast them\u00a0into a sea of forgetfulness.\u00a0\u00a0 No one\u00a0 knows all about you and loves you anyway and promises to guide, provide and protect you.\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0 world at large is dying \u00a0from the lack of love.\u00a0 Love would not use and discard someone for personal gratification,\u00a0 weaknesses, or mistakes.\u00a0 Love\u00a0does not deny love, \u00a0acceptance, or value to anyone because of how they look, dress, or smell.\u00a0 Love is not selfish, self absorbed, or self focused.\u00a0 Love is determined and committed to\u00a0do good by the object of that love.\u00a0 Love would prevent someone from\u00a0making a slave out of another human being for self gratification or money.\u00a0\u00a0 Much of what we consider love is\u00a0 not about the object of our love but ourselves.\u00a0 \u00a0This is not to imply their is no genuine emotional attachment to those we care about it is saying it is\u00a0much\u00a0more.\u00a0 Love allows us to grow with, not abandon for a new model,\u00a0stand with the imperfect not quit on them.\u00a0 This kind of love is possible only for those who totally sell out to God and surrender to His ways .\u00a0 It is\u00a0 impossible for us to love like Him when we are not connected to Him.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you are interested in making that connection today see Why Jesus <\/a>and accept His invitation into the family of God.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hope you had a pleasant Valentines day.\u00a0 It is a good thing to celebrate, validate and acknowledge Love.\u00a0 I do believe our world is suffering from the lack of understanding of what true love is.\u00a0 This morning I was thinking how glad I was I am connected to the true source of love so I … Continue reading New Day Dawning<\/span>
